Cheever Ezekiel Cheever was a school teacher in Boston in 1637, born in England and came to America. He studied at Emmanuel College. He was a founder of New Haven colony, 1693 he opened a school in his house. 1650 he moved back to Mass. Bay area serving as a school teacher from (1650- 1661). He sent a large amount of his pupils to Harvard college. Cheever also wrote the book A Short Introduction to the Latin Tongue. witch was published well into the late 1800s
